Like many highly focused careers in BitLife, it can be challenging to become an Astronaut, which demands a specific path of study before you can reach the stars. If you miss any steps along the right route, you will lose your opportunity to go places beyond Earth. The effort required to graduate as an Astronaut also takes a lot of time, but the result is worth it.

You need to buy the Astronaut Special Career Pack for BitLife before considering pursuing this profession. While this does come free with the Boss Mode attachment to the game, those who don't have this addition will have to buy it as an extra feature. Unlike picking careers in The Sims 4 or other simulation titles, multiple steps to this process unlock when you purchase the right content.

Pick a STEM Degree

There are three tasks for your character to follow to be an Astronaut: getting a STEM degree, going to the Space Academy to train, and finally applying to a Space Agency. The first step here can be confusing, but your character only needs to enter a university to begin studying. When you graduate, sign up for a science, mathematics, engineering, or technology major to receive a STEM degree in BitLife.

The next step involves taking 40 hours of flight lessons, which cost a few thousand dollars to take in BitLife. You will find this extra training through the Activities menu, then in the Licenses category, where you can find Flight School as an option. If you want to make as much money as possible in BitLife, then STEM jobs are certainly a good route.

You have to perform well in the Space Academy to pass each course. Failing grades appear red, but you can bring these back to a healthy green if you answer technical questions correctly.

After you take the time to go through courses, head back to Licenses and pick the Pilot's License to answer a question correctly for the certification. Now you're ready to head to the Space Academy, which can be attended by going to the Occupation menu and selecting Astronaut from the Special Careers.

Apply for the program in BitLife and pay for two years of training in the Fitness, Flight, and Technical courses. You will need to answer several quiz questions that challenge what you learn to graduate from the Academy. When you have completed all the education you need, apply to your country's Space Agency and answer the interview questions correctly to finally become an Astronaut in BitLife.

Getting a STEM degree is essential to becoming an astronaut in BitLife, but it also opens many doors for other career fields. If your goal in BitLife is to acquire as much wealth as possible, then STEM is certainly the way to go.

With a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics degree, you can apply and likely get jobs such as civil engineer, doctor, pharmacist, and many others. The easiest way to become a pilot or astronaut in BitLife is to graduate with an engineering or mathematics major, which will help you get into a pilot or space school.

Watching Documentaries, going to the library, reading books, and studying are all great ways to increase your Smarts stat early on in the game.

Whenever you apply to a university in BitLife, you will receive a drop-down menu to pick your major. As long as you pick any STEM degree, you have a much higher chance of becoming an astronaut. Unfortunately, other degrees, such as Criminal Justice, Journalism, Music, or related subjects, are unlikely to have any future as a pilot or astronaut.

School is certainly expensive, and your Smarts need to be able to match the difficult nature of your chosen degree. Be sure to spend the early game building up these stats to graduate with one of these degrees in BitLife.
