How to Play Florida Powerball
To hit the Florida Powerball jackpot, you’ll first have to purchase a payslip at a retail store authorized to sell them. On each payslip, you’ll see five panels marked by letters from A to E, meaning you’ll be able to take part in up to five plays. This is what you’ll have to do for each of the panels:
- In the upper play area, choose five numbers from 1 to 69 in each of the five panels. If you’re having a hard time selecting your numbers, you can tick the Quick Pick box and the terminal will choose random numbers on your behalf.
- In the lower play area, select a single Powerball number in each panel. Once again, you can leave your destiny to the terminal by marking the Quick Pick box.
- If you want to use the same numbers in more than one draw, you can do so in two ways. Either select the desired number of draws in the payslip’s Advance Play section, or inform your retailer about the number of draws you’d like to take part in.
- Check your selections to make sure you’re happy. Powerball won’t cancel or refund your ticket if you make a mistake.
- Once you’re sure the ticket looks right, give it to your retailer, who will print it out.
- Wait for the drawing to take place to find out whether you’ve got a winning ticket.
At an additional cost of $1, Powerball players can multiply any potential non-jackpot prizes by ticking the Power Play box, which will apply to all panels and Quick Picks from your payslip. These multipliers are set at 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x the winning amount.
To find out the results of a draw, head to the official Florida Lottery website or visit any authorized lottery retailers. Players can also get the necessary information by calling (850) 921-PLAY (7529), or by watching the drawings online.
Powerball Drawing Schedule
Florida Powerball drawings are scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 PM EST. Your ticket will be counted if it’s purchased before 10:00 PM EST on the night the drawing takes place. If you purchased your ticket after this deadline, you’ll be entered into the next draw.
FL Powerball Payouts, Odds, and Rules
The rules of Florida Powerball aren’t complicated at all. All you have to do is purchase a ticket, select your lucky numbers or let the terminal choose them for you, and wait for the draw.
Holders of any winning tickets will receive a prize depending on how many of their numbers come up. The minimum amount of the jackpot is $20 million, which is won by players who match all six numbers. This jackpot will rise if there are no jackpot winners, rolling onto the next Powerball draw.
