a/n: well i have absolutely no ideas on what to write and then i remembered i have requests dating back from at least july of last year so i'm gonna do them in order from my favourite and probably never do the ones i don't like :) anyway i kind of forgot this was a request while i was writing this so i hope it's okay kiwilemon43
 
"Alright, everybody shut up!" Agent Hill shouted at the group stood in front of her consisting of the avengers and some shield agents. They were doing paired training to help the newer agents improve and Fury had made Maria in charge of the activity.
 
As training went on, the avengers started showing her some attitude, causing her to quickly scold them. The younger agents soon realised not to mess with Maria and to oblige by her orders.
 
"Agent Blake, would you please step into the ring with me?" she asked the most recent person to have the nerve to disrespect her. "Yes, Agent Hill," he rolled his eyes. "What do you do when the enemy in front of you is vulnerable?" she questioned him.
 
Before he could answer, she kicked the back of his knees, causing him to lose his balance, taking the opportunity to throw him over her shoulder and pin him down on the mat using her foot to keep him down.
 
"Now, does anyone else want to try any funny business or are you going to act like mature adults and get your sh*t together?" she scowled at the group. Muttered apologies filled the room as they all began to practice the move she had instructed them to 20 minutes prior.

"Blake, I want you off the program, pack your things and leave," she didn't even bother to look at him. "I'm sorry Agent H-" he began. "Leave," she snapped.
 
Weeks of training went by with Maria scaring the agents, which Fury knew was going to happen. He was unbelievably happy with the results when he came to visit the gym to give the avengers an assignment though.
 
"Wow Hill, these kids really respect you," he shook her hand. "It took some time, but it's all going to be worth it when we have people to work here after we can't," she smiled at him. "Yes, yes it will be," he left the room, bumping into you on his way out.
 
"Apologies, Agent l/n," he stopped to talk to you. "Oh no worries, Director Fury," you dismissed his words before walking into the room full of hard working agents. Not many people could leave a conversation with Nick Fury first, but dating the once acting director of shield had it's perks. "I brought you breakfast," you grinned as Maria took the bag you were holding out as you bounced on your heels.
 
"Thank you, baby," she kissed your nose softly, making you giggle. "It's no problem, anything for my favourite agent," you joked. "Oh please, everyone knows your favourite agent is Romanoff," she teased you.
 
You had always admired the russian, she had taken you under her wing like a sister when you first joined the team. She had taught you everything you knew, from fighting to mental strategies when out in the field. She was the one who set you up with Maria when you confessed your feelings for the brunette to her.
 
"Yeah, well, you're my second favourite," you kissed her cheek before pulling her into a hug. As she wrapped her arms around you, you felt safe. Her embrace was like a protective shield that could protect you from anything and everything.
 
Noticing the people staring at you both, you hid your face in her chest, "why are they looking at us." She chuckled, "I may have made a slightly intimidating impression of myself, and you're making me look soft." You tried to pull away, "I'm sorry." She held your face in her hands gently, "never apologise for something like that, I love you."
 
You smiled as she rubbed her nose against yours before feeding you a bite of her muffin that you got her earlier. "I love you too," you rested your head on her shoulder. "They're looking at you like you're a godsend," she laughed. "Maybe because I can make the scariest person in this room feed me a muffin," you grinned before leaving the room to go find some of Maria's clothes to steal.
