The 34 best mitsis hotels in Kos (2024)

This 5-star resort hotel, located on a sandy beach on the outskirts of Kardamena, offers all-inclusive access to its facilities and services, including an open air theatre, 6 restaurants and 7 bars. The hotel features 5 outdoor swimming pools as well as a relaxation pool and water slides for children. There is also a beach frontage with pebbled beach available for guests use.

We had a wonderful two week stay at Mitsis Norida 2 adults and 3 children ages 8, 7 & 6. All staff went above and beyond and we had a lovely time.Big shout out to the kids club, who are a credit to the hotel. They entertained our children each afternoon. They nurtured, loved and taught them lots and both my girls were very sad to leave them all. Thanks again ladies , you are a wonderful team and deserve the best.

We stayed at Mitsis in the beginning of May this year. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. The food and co*cktails were above expectations as well. The only struggle is that you have to make reservations for the restaurants (included in the all inclusive concept), however the restaurant was most of the time fully booked. Also the quality of the food seemed lower than the main restaurant. In terms of views the restaurants are the best places to enjoy and I would advise to take your camera out!On one occasion we booked a trip and ordered a lunch box. This was organized very quickly and the food was also good.I would not recommend to use the hotel services for any reservations regarding a car or scooter, as you will discover the prices are unnecessary high. Better to reserve somewhere else.Summarized, we had an amazing stay (outside of the busy areas of the island) and could really disconnect from our daily life. Special thanks to kostas who drove us frequently to our room!!

We stayed at Norida for 11 nights. We arrived around midnight and the hotel provided us some food which was very nice. The room had a very nice view. The furniture is a bit old and the bed was two single beds next to each other. The beds would move when you turn from one side to the other. The hotel location is very nice with a private beach. The food we find it tasty. The pizza was excellent and the deserts as well. There were some queues everywhere but I think this is to be expected during this time. Overall the waiting times I found them reasonable, I think I never had to wait for more then 10-15 minutes. The kids club is nice, our daughter loved to go there everyday, even though she did not speak the same language as the animators.Regarding the animation we have mixed feelings, only in the last day we found there was a schedule with all the activities otherwise we had no idea what is going on.The amfiteatre sound system is horrible, also it has no AC which makes it not appealing to people to go there. The biggest problem for us was as well that the people were reserving sun beds from very early and then going back to sleep or even not coming for the entire day.The sun beds on the beach are of poor quality, not very comfortable and many being even broken.Overall we enjoyed our holiday and feel we got good value for money, the negative remarks are more as improvement feedback.

I've been meaning to share my thoughts on my trip in early October, and I finally have the chance. The dining options offered a mixed experience. The a la carte restaurants, featuring Asian cuisine and a dedicated fish restaurant, were exceptional and WELL WORTH the visit. I highly recommend booking through the app months before your trip to secure a spot, as availability tends to fill up quickly. The main restaurant, while offering fair and tasty options, became quite chaotic during peak meal hours. The self-serve buffet setup raised concerns about the spread of germs. Additionally, the beachside pizzeria, while iconic and delicious, could benefit from a broader range of toppings beyond plain cheese. The beachside burger hut, a hidden gem not prominently advertised on the website, offered delightful meals even though it seemingly was for guests from the neighboring hotel. However, both the burger hut and pizzeria faced challenges with open-air kitchens attracting flies and wasps. It would be advisable for Norida to invest in more secluded kitchen and food preparation areas. The rooms were impeccably clean but somewhat dated. The TV only featured German channels, a limitation for a purported five-star hotel. On the occasion of our anniversary, the hotel sweetly treated us to a chocolate cake and petals on the bed upon arrival. Despite requesting limited room cleaning via the app, the maid ignored the instructions and cleaned daily when we forgot to use the do not disturb sign. The beach, though picturesque, was uncomfortable due to its stony surface. The dodgy loungers only added to the discomfort. Fortunately, as non-avid beachgoers, we weren't greatly affected. The main swimming pools were well-maintained, although finding available sun loungers around the main pool posed a challenge. I suggest the resort invest in additional loungers for the grass area near the gym to alleviate the need to travel to the older pool. The older pool, closer to the beach, had somewhat grimy floors but provided a pleasant sun lounging experience. The hotel facilities were generally clean, with the lobby, dining area, and games room displaying more of a dated, vintage style—a preference that may appeal to some. The hotel efficiently arranged our airport transfers, adhering to the schedule to the minute. The driver provided excellent service.Evening entertainment left room for improvement, possibly influenced by the off-peak October timing. The nightly routine, starting with an hour of Baby Shark at 8 pm for kids and followed by adult entertainment (a band, quiz, or dance performance) from 9:30 to 11, became repetitive. Diversifying the offerings with acts like magicians, stunt shows, comedy, or puppet shows for children could enhance the overall experience. In conclusion, the staff at this resort deserves commendation for their incredible dedication and hard work. While I appreciate the experience, I would hesitate to classify the resort as a solid five-star establishment, leaning more towards a four-star rating. There are alternatives that offer greater value. Nonetheless, it remains a worthwhile destination.

The vacation itself was wonderful and very relaxing. The hotel is huge and is located right on the beach, and it also has a lot of pools spread out everywhere. The only thing that was annoying was that the loungers were already reserved at 6 a.m. Otherwise the food was okay, not really culinary, but the pizza and the gyros on the beach were very tasty. Unfortunately a lot of salt in the pools. In the evening there was plenty of entertainment for both children and adults.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. As soon as we arrived and walked into the reception area, we knew we had made a good choice. The staff were so friendly and welcoming in all areas of the complex. The hotel itself was beautifully clean and so well-maintained, including our rooms. With a choice of pool areas, including a private beach, there was always a sunbed available. Having a bar and snack foods on the beach was excellent (including pizzas and ice-creams!).Evening entertainment was very good and plenty of seating for everyone. The backdrop of the pools being lit up and the faint murmurings from the pool-side bar (yes, it was open!!) added to the ambience. As with any all-inclusive hotels, the food was samey, but this was varied by having 'special' evenings ie Gyros Souvlaki.Everyday, lunchtime and evening, there was fresh pizza. Watching the pizzas being made as you waited was fascinating. What can be better than having pizza straight from the oven?We had an absolutely brilliant holiday here and can't wait to go back.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days (from 19/07). The location is really good, close to the airport, and the whole place is clean. It's a five-star hotel, so you naturally expect certain standards. However, there simply wasn't enough staff to efficiently handle the guests. Our experience at the crepes restaurant was quite disappointing. We arrived for lunch and had to wait for 10 minutes for a table. Since there was only one waiter, we even cleaned the table ourselves. When Dimitria approached us, her first question was about the dirty dishes and glasses. We politely explained that we had already taken them to the bar. However, she started shouting at us, insisting that it was her responsibility to handle the dishes. She explained that she was on her own and we should be prepared to wait as long as necessary. Unfortunately, it took us 50 minutes to finally receive our food! Waiting times of 30 minutes to an hour seem to be the norm there. Even getting coffee or drinks at night requires a minimum wait time of 20-40 minutes. To secure a sunbed, you have to be there as early as 6:30 to 7 am, as there aren't enough beds available. Although the hotel has a no-reservation policy, it appears that not everyone respects it, leading to morning arguments. The staff appears to be quite tired. Considering the overall experience, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star Greek hotel

Our first all-inclusive stay and it was great. Not too far from the airport and a great beach. The sea view bungalow room we had was great. Furniture was matching, and it A/C was good. Our balcony was a little less private. We were very close to the beach, which was clean, sandy, and even had fish. You won't get name brand alcohol of any sort, which is normal for an all-inclusive.There are no heated pools, so our infant girl didn't enjoy them. Still, there are water slides for children. It's a little far from Kos town. The best thing to do is hire a car at the airport, if you want to travel. The main letdown is the food. You would primarily eat from the main restaurant where breakfast spread never changes. Lunch and dinner are better, but not much. There aren't that many Greek dishes. Speciality restaurants are good, but the service is slow, and you can only book them once per seven days. We would have liked it if there were snacks in the room as well.

Yes hotel was very good and like it a lot. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. At restaurants and reception but the staff at the bar were excellent. But may favourite was a lovely young lady call Blerta a very sweet young lady.

We truly loved everything at Mitsis Norida Beach! The price quality was exceptional. Our room was cozy and the sea view with the beautiful shapes of the pools and the mountains was stunning from morning until night. Food quality at the buffet was totally on point every single time. The other restaurants gave a mix of luxury and romantic vibes, don't forget to book your table upon your arrival. We can't praise the staff enough, everyone from the waiting and cleaning staff to the receptionists was super friendly and helpful. In that line, we'd like to thank again the following people: Anastasia, Elli and Dimitra, the hostesses and the captain of the main restaurant welcomed us every single time with a bright beautiful smile that you could totally spot even it was behind their masks. These ladies are beyond professional. Efi and Fedon, our favorite waiters, treated us like royalty with such dedication. Ermira, at the night bar, was such a delightful waitress who would offer us every evening taylor made co*cktails when she found out that I'm allergic to alcohol. And last but not least, Ia from the cleaning staff did a wonderful job with our room. You guys are super stars.

The two biggest downfalls. You won’t get any sleep or sunbeds.I’m. Writing this review at 6.30am as that’s when you have to get up to get a decent sunbed by the pool. 50% already gone.We are staying in a maisonette which is fine, but don’t expect any sleep. The echoes, people, and staff buggy beeping goes on all night. Oh, it’s not extra all inclusive. Sweet synthetic drinks, only a few recognised brands. Food is ok, but the same most nights in the main dining area. Restaurants are very nice though.

Robert G — Google review

It is more like a 3 start hotel. Nice people at the lobby. Food and ambience in the main restaurant is a desaster. Hotel is not executing own rules (dress code at dinner, reservation of sunbeds by my German friends). Cleaning of room not good. If you drink a lot, eat a lot and if you don’t care about quality, this is your hotel.

The resort is very luxurious and so far have enjoyed our stayCan not complain with the amazing viewsHowever a few minor details I think should be reconsidered within bedroom layout which is the bed situation as instead of a double bed, we have been given two single beds pushed together which have been an issueOverall is a lovely resort but minor details could make the resort betterStill have a week left

Would definitely return for an easy laid back holiday. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful with stunning views. The rooms aren’t the most luxurious but have everything you need and always clean with simple design. Our room had an amazing sea view and just a short walk from the main resort but they offer a golf cart to transport you if you don’t fancy the short walk. All of the food and drinks were delicious and a great variety. Beautiful crystal clear water at the beach and so many swimming pools to choose from. Great entertainment in the evening but enough space to avoid if you’re not in the mood. Couldn’t fault anything about it. Family friendly but not overwhelming with kids stuff and children everywhere.

Man muss 15 min anstehen bis man was bekommt. NOT a 5 star hotel!!!The hotel itself is ok, but only worth 2-3 stars.Rooms and lounge very outdated. We asked three times if there was a baby pool because it was online, and everyone said no! Now on the last day we find a baby pool hidden in a playground! 😆ok the vacation for our child was really bad because not a single pool is heated (which is mandatory for 5 stars)Otherwise the pool area is visually beautiful.co*cktails are great. (But you have to expect a waiting time of 10 to 20 minutes, just like for all other drinks)Food is ok but not worth 5 stars! You have to wait in line for 15 minutes to get something.Cleaning agents don't wipe the floor and just sweep over it.You also have to wait 10-20 minutes at the reception to answer questions. The drains are constantly overflowing here, so the streets are wet (you get your feet wet) and it smells like drains. Not stroller friendly, we always have to carry the stroller up steps to the hotel room. The only positive thing that deserves 5 stars is the staff, they are very friendly! We had asked for a thick blanket as we only had a thin sheet (it was very cold) and it wasn't available (several guests were freezing)At the end, all the guests received gifts when they checked out, we didn't (they've probably already read our review.

Review time:Afgelopen weekend terug gekomen van 2 weken Mitsis Norida Beach. Wij willen volgend jaar zeker terugkomen naar dit fantastische Mitsishotel(Translated by Google)Review time:Came back last weekend from 2 weeks at Mitsis Norida Beach. It was a wonderful holiday. Ich mach es kurz und knapp. Das soll ein 5 Sterne Hotel sein? Ist das ein Scherz? Check in chaotisch. I'll keep it short and sweet. Is this supposed to be a 5 star hotel? Is that a joke? Check in chaotic. Suitcases are simply left somewhere without asking. Room ok, but in need of renovation. Sometimes it stinks from the drain next to the pool. The bars are delivered directly via the pool area, so you don't always have peace and quiet there. No indoor pools, no heated pools. The hotel is so far away from everything... that's a real shame. You can't do it without a car. co*cktails bad. I've had much better food buffet with three stars. There's probably good marketing going on here and we fell for it. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDATION. We are just disappointed. The only thing that saves everything is that the employees everywhere are friendly and helpful. Otherwise there would have been even fewer stars! Oh and because there doesn't seem to be a complete couch in our duplex room anymore, we simply added two additional beds in the 'living room'... it's not really comfortable

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel on an all-inclusive basis, and it was an exceptional experience. The standout element of this trip was the incredible service provided by Vivi from the Public Relations department. Her professionalism and genuine care made the stay even more enjoyable.Sofia, the yoga teacher, offered a lovely and healing experience during the yoga sessions. Her motivation and expertise were truly inspiring. The pilates sessions were fantastic too, providing a well-rounded wellness experience. The hotel itself is a beautiful property with impeccable service. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the food served was of high quality. The animation team added an extra layer of entertainment and enjoyment to the stay.Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel is an excellent choice for families. In addition to the excellent service and family-friendly atmosphere, I was particularly impressed by the pristine beaches with crystal-clear water. The timing in late October still offered delightful weather, making it possible to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The evenings were equally enjoyable with captivating music and shows that added an extra layer of entertainment to our stay. Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel truly excelled in providing a well-rounded and enjoyable vacation experience.I will definately come back!

On the whole the hotel is ok. But it is definitely not a 5 star hotel, at most 3-4 stars. If you really want to relax, this is the wrong place for you. There are too many people in one place, lots of screaming toddlers and you feel crowded. The hotel is overcrowded with Germans and English people, so you don't feel any Greek feeling here. Our hotel room was on a hill, which meant a good 8-10 minutes up and down the hill every day to get to the beach. Unfortunately, you get very little or no information from the staff when you check in (where the restaurants are, where things are). For every question they said “please scan the QR code on the wall”. If you want to lie by the pool, you would have to reserve your lounger at 6 in the morning, otherwise you won't get one, as was unfortunately the case with us. The food is from the buffet, you almost always get the same thing every day, the only positive thing was the bars. The employees look at you askance and you don't feel welcome. Conclusion: I would not recommend the hotel, it is more suitable for pensioners than for teenagers and young adults.

This is an honest and detailed review.Hotel:Upon arrival we were greeted with pleasant staff in a vast lobby that seems to have a huge amount of wasted space. We were taken to our bungalow apartment on a little cart which I thought was nice. The room was clean but not without issues that shouldn’t even be thought about in a 5* hotel, for example the shower was hanging off the wall, the refrigerator is in a cupboard overheating but didn’t fully function anyway, as you can see on the photos. The fridge was restocked with water, soft drinks and two bottles of beer daily, wine would have been nice as you get one small complimentary bottle on day one.The TV worked but mostly German channels both radio and tv, which made sense as it seemed more than 80% of guests were German. One English BBC news channel. The bars:I’ve reviewed these separately on google maps. The best of them all is the beach bar closely followed by the mojito bar both of which had ‘Altin’ working there who was easily the best bartender within the hotel.Just a quick mention that service is extremely slow and there are long queues as most of them serve co*cktails that take time to make with one bar tender trying their best to serve thirsty guest’s.No premium international drinks are available here. The food:The main restaurant is clean but very outdated. The breakfast options are very good however it seems to cater more for German or European tastes. The beans were like bullets and the egg chef either gives you a burnt egg with a frilly lace or an undercooked snotty egg. The omelette chef didn’t look like he wanted to be there, always a queue. This could be easily rectified by having two chefs serving breakfasts most popular option!Lunch and dinner were pretty much the same everyday with a few exceptions with themed nights that were at best average. Chicken was overcooked on a number of occasions. The executive chef seemed to spend more time checking the work stations than checking the quality of the food, maybe I expected more from a 5* restaurant? We did pre book the grill and deep blue restaurants before we arrived as one of those nights was my birthday. It was arranged that we would have a private waiter on the beach for a 5 course candle lit meal served from the fish restaurant I believe, the food was better than the main restaurant but it did cost my wife about £250 for the privilege. No special wines or drinks were offered. The night we dined in at the grill was ok, again better than the main restaurant but nothing special and it’s not a quick process. Some of our plates were chipped too, that’s not a 5* trait. We did not experience the Asian restaurant.Thankfully there’s a pizza oven and burger/gyros bar on the beach. The creperie is excellent which I have reviewed on google maps.Entertainment:For such a huge hotel the entertainment is poor.Daytime entertainment? Not even sure that was a thing! The one night that everyone seemed to enjoy was the live rock band on the Wednesday, they were excellent. Every other night was awful hence most of the guests leaving by 10.30pm. Not much to do for the 20 somethings! A dj playing some current dance music would go down a treat here in my opinion, after all there’s plenty of outdoor space.Thankfully after the recent refurbishment of the outdoor areas it does have beautiful views and places to sit both during the day and evening.Overall:There’s nothing about this hotel that warrants it being 5* it’s too big and outdated. The majority of the staff are lovely but there is room for improvement to make every guest feel special. It’s the little things that are missed here and with Mitsis Hotels Group being a multi million pound corporation it’s lost its way.The warm Greek family spirit that is promised and was built on is unfortunately nowhere to be seen anymore.

Mit lieben Grüßen(Translated by Google)The journey from the airport to the hotel is very quick. We took a taxi from the airport for a fixed price of 24.00 euros. Despite its proximity, you don't hear any noise. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although not at all bars. The creperie is highly recommended. The breakfast buffet is relatively good. The dinner didn't convince me at all for a ***** hotel. They've already found something, but I don't want to talk about Greek cuisine. Slightly better canteen food. Unfortunately. On the beach you get pizza as a snack, which is also quite tasty, but served in tiny portions. We were there at the beginning of May 2024 and were already queuing at the co*cktail bars in the preseason. In high season I don't even want to imagine the crowds. Speaking of co*cktail bars and themed restaurants: scanning is the order of the day!The co*cktails are mixed by hand, a small plus point. Unfortunately they consist almost entirely of ice (of course, frozen water is cheaper). You also don't get many of the advertised co*cktails at all.We had booked all inclusive +. The towels were changed every day, and you can also change the beach towels every day at the beach bar. The minibar was also filled every day as desired.Even though there are signs at the beautiful pool area stating that you cannot reserve loungers before 9 a.m. and that they will be vacated after 1 hour if they are used... nothing happens in this regard. It occurred to me that “towel parking” is not a German virtue! There is a small supermarket in front of the main entrance... nothing else. In the hotel itself, there is a gift shop and a jewelry shop.It was always easy to find a lounger on the beach when we were there. The beach was also nice. The water is clear, fish come close. Beach shoes are an advantage on the fine pebble beach. The themed restaurants are quite nice...but a lot of fuss and not so much quality...if you can reserve seats online. The next little Irt is Kardamena. Nice, but nothing more. Personally, I wasn't particularly impressed with Kos Town either. I can't give a personal assessment of other excursions, only from the descriptions of other fellow vacationers, both the crossing to Bodrum and the island hopping were rated very negatively. My assessment would be: it was a nice vacation, nothing more, but nothing less either. This trip wouldn't be an option for me a second time, but that's always a matter of taste. I hope my assessment can help some. Kind regards

We stayed here from July 12 to July 22 with our two daughters. We really had a great holiday in this great hotel. The service was great, the staff was very friendly. The staff did everything they could to make your stay even nicer and better than it already was.Upon arrival we received refreshing wipes and a delicious lemonade. The food and drinks were very tasty, very fresh and lots of choice. The food in the à la carte restaurants was also very tasty and beautifully presented. The créperie was also very tasty, a very friendly lady who served there. Also plenty of choice on the beach: gyros, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza.Lots of choice of drinks in the various bars. Our room (family room with sea view) was very spacious, clean and beautiful. Our cleaning lady was also very friendly. We had a problem with our air conditioning, and after reporting it to reception, it was fixed within the hour.We had requested a late check-out because our daughter has autism and it is important for her to calm down before departure, unfortunately our room was no longer available on the last day, but then we were given another double room, ours. Suitcases were picked up from our room with the golf cart and taken to the other room, so that we did not have to drag the suitcases ourselves, so our daughter still had her rest before we left. Our children were in love with Apollo, the hotel cat. This trip was our best trip yet, with the best hotel ever (we've done a lot of hotels). We will definitely come back!Nuijten-Pagliaro familyPs thank you for the presents in our room on the penultimate day.
