8, 1979, She was born in Tipton County Sept. 19, 1900, the daughter of Jesse and Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Ryan. 'She was married Aug. 28, 1919, to Walter E. Shrader, who died July 23, 1973.

Surviving are a daughter, Luree Cooper of Kokomo; two sons, Har. old Shrader of Kokomo and Wayne Shrader of Greentown; two brothers, Ralph of Kokomo 'and Darrell Ryan of Cutler; three sisters, Esta Baker of Kokomo, Anna Mae Lunsford of New Waverly and Leona, Orem of Forest; 12 grandchildren, and great-grandchil-: dren. A son and a sister preceded her in death. She had been employed at Globe American Stellite Division Cabot Corp, and Cuneo Press of Indiana and was a member of Church of the Brethren, Eagles Auxiliary and Pocahontas Lodge. Also misspelled were the surnames of two surviving sons, Fred DeVries and Walter DeVries. Man arrested for public intoxication, battery Charles E.

Coan, 36, 314 W. Walnut was arrested by Kokomo city police and charged with public intoxication and battery on a police officer. Information from police concerning the incident was limited but they said Coan had been drinking at Tony's Bar, Markland Avenue and Plate Street, when he was arrested outside for public intoxication. Officers said Coan went to police station peacefully but became upset when his handcuffs were taken off and, police say, he shoved and kicked Officer Dennis Bowers. Coan was arrested at 2:33 a.m.

and an ambulance was dispatched to the police station at 2:55 a.m. where Coan was treated for a laceration to the top of his head. 2 injured in accident Joe A. Glassburn, 51, Kokomo R.R. 6, and Jimmy E.

Symons, 19, Greentown, were hospitalized Thursday morning after they were injured in a two-car accident at Ind. 19 and 100S. Howard County Sheriff's officers said Symons was westbound on 100S when he pulled his car into the path of the southbound Glassburn car. Police said Symons had brought his vehicle to a stop at the stop sign and then apparently tried to get across the state highway before the Glassburn vehicle crossed the intersection. Both men were treated for severe facial lacerations at Howard Community Hospital.

Glassburn is listed in stable condition and Symons in good condition. Stellite worker injured Terry Davis, 18, 1500 W. Markland lot 94, is listed in fair condition at St. Joseph's Hospital after he was injured in an industrial accident Thursday at Stellite Corp. According to a Stellite spokesman, Davis was injured when two ingots rolled together, crushing Davis.

The ingots are cylindrical pieces of metal which Stellite melts into usuable liquid metal, the spokesman said. Davis suffered a broken foot and was also treated for shock, the Stellite spokesman said. Company officials are not sure why the ingots rolled out of control and hit Davis. Tribune 11, County police motorcycle thefts Howard County police officers think the thefts of two motorcylces reported to them Thursday are related to two other thefts of motorcycles stolen earlier this week. George Powell, 3120 N. Washing. ton lot 11, told police his 1947 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stolen from in front of his trailer sometime Wednesday night. Although the value of the cycle was listed at $500, police said it was probably worth more since it had been fully customized and plated in chrome.

David Abney, 3721 Apperson Way told police his 1977 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stolen while it was parked in front of his trailer at Forrest Lodge Trailer Court. Police think the same person or persons who stole motorcycles earlier this week on the north side of Kokomo are responsible for these thefts. In other thefts, Roger Roe, 900 S. Lewis Road, reported the theft of a battery from a 1966 Pontiac. Rex Beach, 8 Southdowns Drive, told police someone had stolen his traveler's checks.

Hobbs Market, Kokomo R.R. 6, reported someone had destroyed a co*ke machine and made off with $10 in change. Ray Bowman, 2900 Apperson Way reported his citizen's band radio suspect related and two vehicle registrations were stolen from his car while it was parked at the Chrysler transmission plant. Edward Summers, 180 N. Elm said his car was broken into while It was parked at the Kokomo Mall theatres.

Stolen was an 8-track, AM-FM radio, a tape case and 25 tapes. Stop 'N Go grocery, Goyer Road and Boulevard, reported the shoplifting of $1.69 worth of meat. Paul an employee of Kaplan Trucking Co. of Cleveland, Ohio, reported that, while he was asleep in his rig in the Kokomo Mall parking lot, someone stole a tarp, a 20-foot chain and a chain binder from his truck. Union reported the theft of a tool box and tools from his house. Ronald Goulet, Russiaville, told police three tires were stolen off his car while it was parked at the Indiana University-Kokomo parking lot. Rodney Sullivan, 818 W.
