For 14 years I have been part of the most amazing family that has seen me through some of the biggest milestones in my life. Make-A-Wish Wisconsin has been there for our engagement, wedding, births, celebrations and all the ups and downs between them. I have never been more proud to be a part of a team, and community. I have loved sharing wish stories with so many of you over the years. It has been a joy to help others fulfill their goals to be a part of a charity or special mission. Meeting wish kids, wish families, sponsors, volunteers and friends remains my favorite part of the job. Over the past 14 years so many people have become more than just colleagues or business connections, they have become true friends, mentors and advisors.Today is surreal, as I pack up my desk and walk out the door as an employee, for the last time. I look forward to being a part of the mission in new ways, on committees, as a volunteer and as a donor. And because everything in life can be brought back to an episode of Friends, and because Kelsey Rice knows me too well. This feels fitting.Tomorrow I start my next chapter as a Corporate Event Planner for Baird. I am excited, scared and hopeful all at the same time. I can't wait to see the new connections, stories and community that come next.
